Mountain huts – sought after but rarely offered
Not a week goes by in which we as a real estate agency in the middle of the holiday region Hochschwarzwald do not receive an urgent request. ‘I am looking for a cabin in the mountains, which is heated only by a wood-burning stove. It does not have to be a new building, but simply a hut in the woods.” An understandable wish that this romantic idea corresponds to the ideal of simple life in the mountains. So-called ‘chalets’, as in Switzerland with lots of stone, glass and wood, which can be used as luxurious and fully equipped holiday properties, are unfortunately out of the question for many budgets. Because the construction method is exclusive and expensive. Now back to affordable mountain huts in the Black Forest. There are some unique items around the Feldberg, which are usually in family hands for a long time and are not sold. Only in very few cases do you get the chance to purchase. In September 2024, we will arrange a corresponding offer in Feldberg-Bärental. The mountain hut above Lake Titisee can be reached from the Bärental train station. In winter, access is only possible with snowshoes – but that's how it should be at a decent altitude 🙂
